The Oman Web Awards Committee & SJS Group (Oman) under the patronage of the Information Technology Authority (e.oman), and in association with AYNA, MICROSOFT and Business Software Alliance (BSA)  has the honor of presenting to you the 7th edition of The Oman Web Awards.

Within a short span of six years , the Oman Web Awards has rapidly earned the status of being an event of national pride and has gained immense international recognition too. It was first introduced by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy with the objective of promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity within the digital economy of Oman. In the wake of honoring websites, the OWA aim at recognizing excellence in web design and web development skills, while ultimately encouraging all sectors of the economy to be more e-enabled. The event is a healthy competitive  platform through which participants get the opportunity to earn recognition for their creative skills, network,  foster co-operation,  enhance knowledge, build capabilities and gain greater market recognition.

This prestigious event strives at setting new standards for the web industry in Oman. The long term vision being to act as an inspiration for all sectors to be in tune with the latest developments in the field of web design / development, enabling them to be at par with international counterparts within the Gulf region. While advocating the benefits and growth of web development  and Information technology, OWA also creates awareness about important subjects such as intellectual property and related subjects. It basically serves as an inspiration and archive whiles rewarding creators for their skills so that they continue to excel.

As an event organized annually, the award ceremony has gained immense significance due to the fact that Oman is steadily proving to be an ideal base for organizations and educational institutions whose main focus and functioning revolves around the field of IT and e-commerce, whiles simultaneously large number of industries, enterprises and educational institutions are  beginning to capitalize on the benefits of technology.
Open to all website owners, web design companies,  freelance designers  and developers; participants compete for the best website in each of the designated 25 categories. The final winners qualify to participate at  the annually held Pan Arab Web Awards competition, where they compete with winners from other Arab countries.
